The Head of Government holds talks with Queen Máxima, Special Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Inclusive Finance for Development

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, held talks on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, in Rabat, in the presence of Mrs. Ghita Mezzour, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, with Queen Máxima, who is visiting Morocco in her capacity as Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Inclusive Finance for Development, as part of the UN organization's support for Morocco's progress in the field of inclusive financing in recent years. 
The talks dealt with ways to develop financial inclusion mechanisms in the Kingdom, especially for women, rural populations, and small traders, by promoting mobile financial transactions, financial technology, and inclusive green finance. In this context, the Head of Government stressed that the Kingdom, which has made important progress at the level of inclusive financing, will continue to work on developing access to financial services via mobile phone, especially for groups that do not benefit from banking services.
The Head of Government also expressed the Moroccan government's welcome to support and accompany the UN body in this context, in line with the development directions of the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect him. 
 

This meeting was an occasion in which the Head of Government recalled the achievements made by the Kingdom in the field of comprehensive financing in connection with the implementation of the Royal Workshops on Social Protection, which calls for the boldest set of financial integration mechanisms for the target groups.
In this regard, the Head of Government touched on the new digital strategy, which is in the final stages of its development, as it will give a strong impetus to the workshops on digitizing public services, including the financial aspect, in parallel with the strides made by the government in simplifying administrative procedures and procedures. 
This strategy will contribute to the promotion of the digital economy and financial services in Morocco, enabling job creation, increasing the added value of services, and enhancing the Kingdom's qualifications as an attractive digital platform for investments.
