Government Council Meeting of Thursday, February 15, 2024

The government held a meeting of the Government Council on Thursday, 5th of Chaaban, 1445, corresponding to February 15, 2024, under the presidency of the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, dedicated to the discussion of several legal texts and proposals for appointments to senior positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the beginning of its proceedings, the Government Council examined and adopted Draft Decree No. 2.24.1, amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.18.785 issued on April 29, 2019, regarding the implementation of Law No. 110.14 instituting a regime for covering the consequences of natural disasters and amending and supplementing Law No. 17.99 concerning the insurance code, presented by the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah.

Subsequently, the Government Council adopted six draft decrees related to officials of the Ministry of National Education, presented by the Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa. These include:

  • Draft Decree No. 2.24.140 regarding the specific status of officials of the Ministry of National Education ;
  • Draft Decree No. 2.24.141 enacting various measures relating to allowances granted to officials of the Ministry of National Education ;
  • Draft Decree No. 2.24.167 amending Decree No. 2.02.857 of 8 Hijja 1423 (February 10, 2003) establishing a complementary inspection allowance for inspectors of the Ministry of National Education ;
  • Draft Decree No. 2.24.142 enacting provisional measures relating to educational support courses ;
  • Draft Decree No. 2.24.066 amending Decree No. 2.00.1016 of 7 Rabia al-Akhir 1422 (June 29, 2001) implementing Law No. 07.00 creating Regional Academies of Education and Training (AREF) ;
  • Draft Decree No. 2.23.827 regarding the supervision of the organization of certain examinations and competitions at the Ministry of National Education level.
     

The Government Council concluded its work by approving proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution. The following appointments were made :

  • Regarding the Ministry of Health and Social Protection :
    • Abdellah Mellouki has been appointed director of the Higher Institute of Nursing and Health Technical Professions of Tetouan;
  • Regarding the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills:
    • Lhoucine El Yazidi has been appointed Director of Human Resources, Budget, and General Affairs; 
    • Nour El Amarti has been appointed Director of International Cooperation and Partnership.
  • Regarding the Ministry of Industry and Commerce : 
    • Youssef Fadil has been appointed General Director of Industry.
