The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, received, on Friday, March 29, 2024, as part of the new round of social dialogue, a delegation from the Democratic Confederation of Labor (CDT), led by the general secretary of the union, Mr. Abdelkader Zair, in the presence of the Minister of Economy and Finance; the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Labor, and Skills; the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesperson; and the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.
During this meeting, marked by a positive and responsible spirit, mechanisms were examined to concretize the legitimate aspirations of workers and improve the purchasing power of citizens. The meeting was also an opportunity to discuss various social issues and address sectoral social dialogue.
In this regard, the Head of Government emphasized the efforts made by the government to respect the commitments contained in the minutes of the agreement of April 30, 2022, despite the constraints of the current situation, within a participatory approach, which constitutes the main gateway for the optimal implementation of the government's social policy, in accordance with the Royal High Directives.
The new round of social dialogue was launched on Tuesday with a meeting between the Head of Government and a delegation from the Moroccan Labor Union (UMT), followed by a meeting with a delegation from the General Union of Moroccan Workers (UGTM).
