Government Council Meeting on Thursday, June 20, 2024

The Government Council met on Thursday, 28 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445, corresponding to June 20, 2024, under the chairmanship of Mr. Aziz Akhannouch. The meeting was devoted to discussing several draft legal texts and proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the beginning of this meeting, the Government Council examined and adopted the draft decree 2.44.144 concerning the "pioneering schools" label, presented by the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, Chakib Benmoussa.
  • Then, the Government Council examined and adopted the draft decree No. 2.23.1194 amending and supplementing decree No. 2.90.471 of Joumada II 7, 1411 (December 25, 1990), relating to the granting of additional remuneration to teacher-researchers in medicine, pharmacy, and dental medicine, presented by the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Aït Taleb.
  • The Government Council continued its work by examining and adopting the draft decree No. 2.23.920 implementing Law No. 37.21 establishing specific measures relating to the direct marketing of fruits and vegetables produced within the framework of agricultural aggregation, presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mohamed Sadiki.
     

The Council concluded its work by approving the proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution. The following appointments were made :

  • At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad:
    • Allal Ouazzani Touhami, Director of the European Union and Mediterranean Processes ;
    • Omar Kadiri, Director of Asian and Oceanian Affairs ;
    • Abdelilah Nejjari, Director of Public Diplomacy and Non-State Actors ;
    • El Ouafi Boukili Makhoukhi, Director of the Moroccan Academy of Diplomatic Studies ;
    • Khalid El Majdidi, Inspector General ;
  • At the Ministry of Equipment and Water :
    • Moncef Berrada, Director of Works and Road Operation ;
  • At the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development:
    • Mohcine Zaidi, Director of Legal Affairs, Control, and Risk Prevention ;
  • At the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Innovation :
    • Zoubir El Felsoufi, from the Sidi Bennour Higher School of Technology.
