Government Council meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2024

The Government Council was held on Wednesday, Dhou al-Hijja 19, 1445, corresponding to June 26, 2024, under the chairmanship of Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, dedicated to the discussion of several legal texts and proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the beginning of the Council's proceedings, and in relation to Bill No. 03.23 amending and supplementing Law No. 22.01 on criminal procedure, presented by the Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, it was postponed to a later meeting of the Government Council in order to further examine its content.
  • Subsequently, the Government Council examined and adopted Decree No. 2.24.461 establishing new circles and caïdats, presented by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit.
  • Furthermore, the Government Council examined and adopted Decree No. 2.24.401 amending Decree No. 2.23.665 of Rabii II 25, 1445 (November 10, 2023) concerning the establishment of the judicial map of the Kingdom, presented by the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi.
     

The Council concluded its proceedings by approving the proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution. The following appointments were made:

  • At the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development - Department of Energy Transition:
    • Ms. Badia El Karoui was appointed Director of Strategy, Forecasting, Observation, and Cooperation ;
  • At the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform:
    • Mr. Ismail Besri was appointed Director of Procedure Simplification and Administration Digitalization.
