Government majority affirms 'strong determination to tackle emerging social difficulties

The Presidency of the Government Majority, during its regular monthly meeting, on Tuesday, affirmed its "strong determination" to deal with the emerging social difficulties as a result of the repercussions of high prices in the international market, and the significant lack of rain.

This came in a statement by the Presidency of the Government Majority issued after this meeting, headed by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, head of the National Rally of Independents, and in the presence of Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, Secretary-General of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Mr. Nizar Baraka, Secretary-General of the Istiqlal Party, and the heads of the majority teams in both houses of parliament, dedicated to tracking the progress of the implementation of the government program, standing on the next steps in its implementation, and studying some national and parliamentary issues, and developments in the political arena.

According to the statement, this meeting was characterized by extensive discussion and a responsible sense in assessing all these issues and developments, and in full invocation of the supreme interest of the homeland, as well as the various economic and social constraints facing our country due to the continued repercussions of confronting the Corona virus pandemic, in conjunction with the noticeable delay in rainfall, and the rapid fluctuations of prices in the international market, including its negative effects on the living conditions of citizens and their purchasing power.

In this regard, the Presidency of the Majority confirmed the government "the government's continued support for basic materials such as sugar, butane gas, soft wheat flour, water and electricity," noting "the stability of the prices of agricultural products, and its determination to keep pace with the difficulties facing transport professionals and work to achieve a kind of balance on the sidelines of the repercussions of high fuel prices internationally."

The statement added that the Commission "paused with great pride at the deep significance of the event of the reception of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect and assist him, the Head of Government and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Forests, and his high order that the Hassan II Fund for Economic and Social Development contribute three Billion dirhams to the exceptional program, which totals 10 Billion dirhams, directed to the rural world as a result of the difficulties it is experiencing due to the delay in rainfall.

In this regard, the Presidency of the Government Majority highly appreciated "the special royal care given by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God protect and assist him, to his subjects from the villages and valleys", praising "the wise proactive vision of His Majesty the King in drawing the parameters of a clear roadmap to mitigate the effects of delayed rainfall on agricultural activity and to provide assistance to the farmers and livestock breeders concerned".

In this context, the Presidency of the Government Majority stressed the rapid activation of the content of the emergency program enacted by the government to face the difficulties suffered by male and female citizens in rural areas, and its intention to take all measures, procedures, and urgent decisions to ensure the proper implementation of this ambitious program, as well as to ensure wide benefit to vulnerable groups in need of this support.
 

The Presidency of the Government Majority also recalled "the special attention given by His Majesty King Mohammed VI to investment issues in our country, the content of the working session chaired by His Majesty recently on the new investment charter, and His Majesty the King's encouragement of the government for the work it has accomplished at this level."

In this context, the Authority affirmed that it is well aware of the accuracy of the strategic royal directives, and the determination of its governmental and parliamentary components to engage strongly in the proper implementation, follow-up and implementation on the ground of the various new legal and incentive requirements, with the aim of injecting a new dynamism into private investment and establishing the Kingdom as a distinguished land for investment at the regional and international levels.

In the same context, the Presidency of the Government Majority praised "the effectiveness and speed with which the government is moving towards the implementation of the state's social workshops, through the honorable outcome related to the issuance of decisions, measures and decrees to activate social protection workshops."

According to the statement, "the government majority, while reaffirming its continued interaction with all issues of concern to citizens, is fully convinced that our country, with the generosity of God Almighty, and the strength of the foundations and pillars of our ancient kingdom, and its people's historical enjoyment of a high sense of faith, solidarity and solidarity during difficult moments and tests, is able to face all challenges, and overcome the constraints of the international and regional situation and its repercussions at the national level."

On the other hand, the Presidency of the Government Majority expressed its high appreciation for the responsible national roles played by the opposition parties and teams, by constantly invoking the interest of the country, and in their full adherence to the spirit of the constitution, the rule of law and institutions, and the rules of constructive political practice, and their great contribution to enriching government performance and public action.

The Commission also expressed its pride in the tangible progress in the field of social dialogue, adding that, "On this occasion, it highly salutes the major national roles shown by social actors and economic partners, whether during the agreement signed between the government and the educational unions weeks ago, which is a catalyst for achieving reform in the education sector, or through the aspirations presented in the series of social dialogue that the government intends to launch on Thursday, through which it bets on responsible dialogue, constructive cooperation, and strong partnership between all Those concerned with achieving the ambition of our country, the King of the Government and the people, to build a social state based on the dignity of the citizen first and foremost.
