- Good market supply level for most agricultural products
- Enhancing the tracking and monitoring of the state of supply and marketing of food products during the holy month
The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, on Monday, March 14, 2022, a meeting regarding the supply of food products to markets as the holy month of Ramadan approaches. This meeting comes within the framework of the royal directives aimed at protecting the purchasing power of citizens and ensuring the supply of the necessary food products to the markets.
The month of Ramadan Al-Abrak is witnessing an increase in demand for various food products, and in preparation for this, government mobilization will be significantly increased by raising the level of monitoring the status of supplying the Kingdom's markets with food products, in addition to strengthening monitoring at the level of marketing and quality control and tracking and punishing any violations or opportunistic behavior.
Thus, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, with the assistance of the various departments concerned, is working to supply the national markets well with regard to food products that are strongly consumed, in particular flour, tomatoes, dates, legumes, almonds, oranges, oil, milk, butter, honey, meat, eggs and fish.
Daily market monitoring for a month has shown that markets are generally well supplied. However, the competent authorities will remain constantly vigilant regarding the prices of some products, especially in light of the lack of rainfall recorded until last February, in addition to the turmoil in the international market.

The various sectors concerned, especially the Ministry of the Interior, Economy and Finance, Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, will remain mobilized to strengthen coordination and tracking mechanisms at the central and local levels, in order to ensure that this blessed month passes in the best conditions.
