The Head of Government chairs the Fourth Ministerial Meeting on the New Investment Charter

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, on Friday, May 13, 2022, the Fourth Ministerial Meeting on the New Investment Charter, in the presence of the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, the Secretary General of the Government, Mr. Mohamed El Hajoui, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Mrs. Nadia Fettah, the Minister of National Territory and Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy, Ms. Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, the Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Mr. Younes Sekkouri, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Ryad Mezzour, and the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts. and the Social and Solidarity Economy, Ms. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy Evaluation, Mr. Mohcine Jazouli, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the budget, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, and the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, Ms. Ghita Mezzour.
This meeting falls within the framework of the proximity tracking mechanism that has been put in place to prepare the exact details of the implementation of the new investment charter, in accordance with the high instructions of His Majesty the King, May God Assist Him.
In this context, the strong mobilization and commitment of the ministerial sectors have enabled the implementation of various priority projects:

Progress in the preparation of the basic texts of the Investment Charter: the Framework Law on the Investment Charter, the Decree on the Main Support Mechanism, and the Specific Mechanism applicable to Investment Projects of a Strategic Nature; the Support Decree on the Promotion of the International Development of Moroccan Enterprises; and the Identification of the Main Actions Established within the Specific Support Mechanism for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Accelerating reform workshops aimed at facilitating investment and entrepreneurial action, especially those related to the simplification and digitization of procedures, administrative decentralization, construction documents and related licenses, real estate base, and payment deadlines.
The Head of Government thanked all the stakeholders for their strong mobilization and for the dynamism that made it possible to give impetus to the acceleration of this structured investment project.
