Meeting of the Council of Government on Thursday 12 January 2023

On Thursday, 19 Joumada II 1444, corresponding to 12 January 2023, the Government held a Council of Government , chaired by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government, devoted to the deliberation and approval of a number of draft legal texts, the revision of an international agreement and proposals for appointment to high-level positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved Draft law No. 44.22 supplementing and amending Law No. 45.00 on judicial experts, presented by Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, Minister of Justice.
  • Following that, the Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.22.809 amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.06.574 of 10 Dou al-Hijja 1427 (31 December 2006) on the application of value added tax provided for in Section III of the General Tax Code, presented by Ms. Nadia Fettah,  Minister of Economy and Finance.
  • The Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.22.811 amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.94.285 of 17 Joumada II 1415 (21 November 1994) on the powers and organization of the Ministry of Public Health, presented by Mr. Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection.
     

The Council of Government continued its work by examining the General Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Organization of African Unity, adopted at Accra (Ghana) on 25 October 1965, and Draft law No. 63.22 approving the said Convention, presented by Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates.

The Council of Government concluded its work by deliberating and approving proposals for appointments to positions of responsibility in accordance with article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the level of the Presidency of the Government, the following persons have been appointed:
    • Mr. Abdelouadoud Kharbouch, Director of the National Agency for the Fight against Illiteracy;
  • At the level of the Ministry of Equipment and Water, the appointment of:
    • Mr. Lahcen Maazizi, Director of Technical Affairs and Industry Relations;
    • Ms. Nadia Nahil, Director of Human Resources.
