The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, held bilateral talks on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Rabat, with Mr. Oliver Farrelly, European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Policy, who is on a working visit to Morocco.‎
This visit, Mr. Farrelly's second in less than a year to Morocco, reflects the European Commission's interest in the Kingdom as a strategic partner.‎
During this meeting, the Head of Government and the European official praised the dynamic that has characterized relations between Morocco and the European Commission over the past three years, resulting in the signing of a series of agreements, which fall within the framework of the recommendations of the Kingdom's new development model, respond to the priorities set by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and are implemented by the government, especially in the field of social protection, water, and agriculture.
These talks, in which the Ambassador of the European Union to Morocco, Patricia Yumbart, participated, provided an opportunity for the two parties to review the various aspects of the partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the European Commission, in light of the opportunities available to accelerate and strengthen economic and trade exchanges.
