The Head of Government meets with the Chairperson of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, received on Thursday, December 7th in Rabat, Nezha Hayat, Chairperson of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, to present the Authority's annual report for the year 2022.

This annual report reviews the main events that marked the capital market in 2022, the numerical evolution during this period, as well as the stability of transactions within the market.

It also highlights the achievements of the Moroccan Capital Market Authority in 2022, as part of its strategic plan extending from 2021 to 2023, through a series of measures aimed at boosting the markets, providing an alternative market for small and medium-sized enterprises, and developing the capital market to contribute more to the financing of the national economy.
During this meeting with the Head of Government, Mrs. Nezha Hayat reiterated the commitment of the Authority to the development of the capital market through the introduction of new financial instruments such as crowdfunding and sukuk certificates, whose implementing texts have been published and which have been the subject of a first bond issuance by a local authority in Morocco.

Additionally, the President of the AMMC emphasized that the Authority integrates innovation and digital transformation as development drivers for the market while ensuring the protection of savings invested in financial instruments and ensuring transparency and integrity in the capital market.
