Rabat - Here follows a statement by the Royal Office:

" His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him, proceeded on Friday, March, 28, 2025 with the following:

- Appointing Rahma Bourqia as president of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research.

- Renewing the appointment of Amina Bouayach as chairperson of the National Human Rights Council.

His Majesty the King, may God glorify Him, also appointed Mohammed El Habib Belkouch as Interministerial Delegate for Human Rights.

The Royal decision to appoint the heads of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research and the National Human Rights Council attests to the Royal Will to endow these two institutions with the competencies and expertise needed to ensure the continued promotion of their constitutional missions, in view of the central attributions conferred on them by the Constitution, and the related national and international stakes.

These appointments are fully aligned with the special attention that His Majesty the King, may God preserve Him, has consistently paid to the continued reform of the national education and training system, as one of the national priorities aimed at qualifying human capital, which is the true wealth that must support the development model led with wisdom and foresight by HM the King. They also reflect the Sovereign's interest in promoting and safeguarding human rights in both cultural and practical terms, and consolidating our country’s globally recognized achievements in this area."
