Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch revealed the ten commitments of the government during the period 2021-2026, included in the government program, on Monday, October 11, in a joint session of the House of Representatives and Councillors. 

Mr. Aziz Akhannouch said that the government has identified ten major commitments to activate the principle of linking responsibility with accountability and to facilitate the tracking and evaluation of government outcomes, namely the creation of at least one million net jobs over the next five years, raising the percentage of women's activity to more than 30% instead of 20% currently, activating comprehensive social protection, protecting and expanding the middle class and providing economic and social conditions for the emergence of a middle class in the rural world. 
It also mobilizes the educational system with all its components with the aim of ranking Morocco among the top 60 countries in the world (instead of lagging behind in most relevant international indicators), activating the official character of Amazigh, especially through the creation of a special fund, with a budget of one billion dirhams by 2025, raising the pace of growth to 4% over the next five years, lifting one million families out of poverty and fragility on the basis of keeping pace with 200,000 families annually, and reducing social and regional disparities to less than 39% instead of 46.4%. According to the Gini index, then finally universal primary education for all children starting from the age of four with the establishment of permanent and effective quality control governance. 

The Head of Government stressed that the government program derives its spirit and philosophy from the royal directives and intersects with the contents of the Kingdom's new development model and draws from the measures committed to implement by the parties that form the government majority.

He added that it is a project stemming from the Kingdom's constants, historical richness, vitality of its culture, plurality of identity and diversity of capabilities, looking forward to the prospects for integrated and sustainable development.

This program was developed according to a participatory approach to answer pressing social expectations, overcome the effects of the pandemic and achieve an economic take-off that enhances Morocco's position continentally and internationally, the head of government added. 
The Head of Government added that the government program is based on five guiding principles, the first of which is fortifying the democratic choice and strengthening its mechanisms, institutionalizing social justice, placing human capital at the heart of activating the development model of our country, making the dignity of the citizen the basis of public policies, then expanding the base of the middle class and enhancing its purchasing and saving power.

The government program is also based on three strategic axes: strengthening the social pillars of the state, stimulating the national economy for the benefit of employment, and consolidating good governance in public administration.
