Le On Thursday, 23 Dhu al-Qu'Idah 1443, corresponding to June 23, 2022, the government held its weekly council under the chairmanship of Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government, devoted to the presentation of two sectoral presentations, one on data and measures related to the "Marhaba 2022" transit operation, and the other on the Eid al-Adha preparation program,  and to deliberate on a number of draft legal texts, and to consider an international agreement, and proposals for appointment to high-level posts in accordance with article 92 of the Constitution.

  • Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved Draft law No. 96.21 amending and supplementing Law No. 17.95 on joint-stock companies and enacting transitional provisions for the conversion of bearer shares into nominal shares, presented by Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade.
  • After that, the Council of Government deliberated and approved the draft Decree No. 2.22.448 extending the validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory to deal with the epidemic of the Corona virus "Covid-19", presented by Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of the Interior.
  • The Council of Government continued its work by presenting draft Decree No. 2.22.447 amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.12.293 of 15 Shaabane 1433 (5 July 2012) specifying the modalities for the distribution and payment of subsidies granted to political parties, presented by Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of the Interior, where it was presented and it was decided to continue its work at a future meeting of the Council of Government .
     

The Council of Government then examined the Agreement on the Promotion and Reciprocal Protection of Investments between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the United Republic of the Comoros, signed in Dakhla on March 31, 2022, as well as Draft law No. 32.22 approving the said agreement, presented by Mr. Nasser Bourita,  Minister of Foreign Affairs, African cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates.

The Council of Government concluded its work by deliberating and approving proposals for appointments to positions of responsibility in accordance with article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the level of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the following have been appointed:
    • Mr. Lotfi Boujendar, Director of the Moroccan Pension Fund,
    • Mr. Moncef Derkaoui, Director of Financial Studies and Forecasting. 
  • At the level of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forestry, the following have been appointed: 
    • Mrs. Samira Baina, Director of the Foundation of Social Works for the benefit of civil servants and employees of the Ministry, Sector of Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests - Sector of Fisheries.
