Meeting of the Council of Government on Thursday 6 October 2022

On Thursday 9 Rabii I 1444, corresponding to 6 October 2022, the government held its weekly council, chaired by Head of Government Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, to present a sectoral presentation on the results of social dialogue, deliberate and approve a number of draft legal texts and revise an international agreement.

  • Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.22.400 defining the powers and organization of the Ministry of Justice, presented by Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, Minister of Justice.
  • Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.22.586 amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.93.807 of 6 Muharram 1415 (16 June 1994) on the status of the General Inspectorate of Finance, presented by Mrs. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance.
  • The Council of Government continued its work by deliberating and approving the draft decree No. 2.22.780 on additional appropriations to the general budget, presented by Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the budget.
  • With regard to draft Decree No. 2.22.191 on air navigation services, it was decided to postpone it pending submission to a subsequent Council of Government .
     

The Council of Government examined an international agreement between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Djibouti for the recovery and reciprocal protection of investments, signed in Rabat on July 25, 2022, and Draft law No. 46.22 approving the said agreement, presented by Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs,  of African cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates.
This agreement aims to encourage investment between the two countries and strengthen communication between private sector companies in order to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development, through job creation, technology transfer and the resolution of difficulties that the investor may face, by providing appropriate facilities and relevant licenses,  as required by the laws and regulations in force in the territory of both Parties.
