The Head of Government chairs the “Awrach” Program Strategic Committee
- A positive outcome of the "Awrach" program during the year 2022, and the effective launch of "Awrach 2”.

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, Monday, February 13, 2023, in Rabat, the meeting of the Strategic Committee of the "Awrach" program, which examined and evaluated the results of the program in 2022, and activated the effective launch of "Awrach 2".
During the meeting, the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch welcomed the positive results of the “Awrach” program, stressing the government's willingness to keep the commitments and promises it has made to citizens, intending to provide rapid responses to the operational constraints left by the Covid-19 pandemic, in response to the High Royal Directives.
The Head of Government welcomed the involvement of all government sectors concerned in the establishment of "Awrach" to consolidate regional justice, at the level of the targeted prefectures and provinces, especially since about 50% of the beneficiaries of the program come from rural areas.
For his part, Mr. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, presented the results of the first edition of the "Awrach" program, describing them as positive, as he explained that the year 2022 saw the registration of 103,599 beneficiaries of "Awrach", 30% of whom were women.
In his intervention, the Minister added that 30,000 beneficiaries out of 100,000 have received training that allows them to access the labor market, reviewing some of the successful experiences of the program, including the digitization of local authority archives.
Mr. Younes Sekkouri also pointed out that the percentage of beneficiaries who do not have diplomas is about 70% of the total beneficiaries, making the "Awrach" program the first government program that guarantees decent work to this category of citizens while receiving wages not below the minimum wage, and registering them in the National Social Security Fund.
During the 2023 finance law, the government mobilized 2.25 billion Dirhams for the benefit of “Awrach” to create 250,000 jobs during the years 2022-2023, as part of small and large temporary public workshops.
In addition to the Head of Government, the meeting was attended by Mr. Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Education, Preschool, and Sports, Mr. Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health and Social Protection, Mr. Mohamed Sadiki, Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests, Mr. Younes Sekkouri, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Mr. Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, and Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance in charge of the Budget, and Mr. Mustafa Baitas, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, in charge of Relations with Parliament, Government Spokesman.
