The Head of Government holds talks with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) President

Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch received, on Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Rabat, in the presence of Mr. Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence and Public Policy Evaluation, Mrs.  Odile Renaud-Basso, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, accompanied by a group of Bank officials.
The meeting was an opportunity to review the various aspects of cooperation relations between Morocco and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, as the two sides expressed their satisfaction with the level of cooperation in several development and infrastructure projects and partnerships with public institutions and the private sector. 
The Head of Government welcomed the dynamism of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in keeping pace with the economic development in the Kingdom by mobilizing investments in different sectors. 

Mr. Aziz Akhannouch also expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening the partnership between the two parties following an ambitious strategy, in line with the enlightened royal vision, by accelerating the development of the green economy, confronting water stress, and the success of advanced regionalization as a lever for the economic development of the regions, as well as supporting social cohesion and reducing regional disparities. 

For her part, Mrs. Odile Renault-Basso praised the strides made by Morocco in strengthening and modernizing the infrastructure network, seawater desalination plants, and renewable energies, expressing her admiration for the reforms initiated by the current government to face the economic repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.
