The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held discussions on Thursday in Rabat with Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), who is on an official visit to Morocco.
During the talks, the Head of Government expressed his appreciation for the solid foundations of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Morocco and the GCC, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and the leaders of the GCC countries.
He also commended the GCC's firm positions and resolutions in support of the Moroccan identity of the Sahara and the territorial integrity of the Kingdom. He reaffirmed Morocco's full solidarity, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, may God preserve him, with the GCC countries in safeguarding their sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the Kingdom’s readiness to take all necessary measures to protect the security and stability of the Arab Gulf region.

The discussions emphasized the need to enhance exchanges and meetings between Gulf and Moroccan investors, while encouraging greater involvement of Gulf sovereign wealth funds in promising sectors such as renewable energy, the automotive industry, the digital economy, infrastructure, and tourism. This will be facilitated through the upcoming Gulf-Morocco Investment Forum.
