The Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, receives Mr. Adel El Fakir and Mr. Sebastian Ibel

The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, received on Thursday 01 September 2022, accompanied by Mrs. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, and Mr. Adel El Fakir, Director General of the Moroccan National Tourist Office, Mr. Sebastien Ebel, who will assume the position of CEO of the German  TUI  Group, which is active in the field of tourism, travel, and air transport, starting next October.
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss various aspects of partnership and cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, through the Moroccan National Tourist Office and the  TUI Group, in addition to promoting investment opportunities for the German Group in the Kingdom.
During the meeting, the Head of Government highlighted the efforts made by Morocco to revive the tourism and air transport sectors in the Kingdom, which were affected during the pandemic period, through urgent measures, which enabled the tourism sector to restore its balance, as Morocco received during the months of June and July 2022 about 3.2 million tourists, and the tourism sector recovered 100% of the tourists coming to Morocco compared to the same period in 2019, as well as the air transport sector, which recovered Gradually.
For his part, Mr. Sebastien Abel reiterated the full confidence of  TUI Group in Morocco as a tourist destination, stressing the Group's readiness to strengthen its presence and investments in the Kingdom.
