Head of Government chairs the tenth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Moroccan Expatriates' Affairs and Immigration Affairs
The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, chaired, on Thursday, June 2023 in Rabat, the tenth meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Moroccan Expatriates' Affairs and Migration Affairs.
This meeting was an opportunity to present the conclusions of the work of the thematic committees, which were engaged in the formulation of an executive program to implement the high instructions contained in the royal speech on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the revolution of the King and the people.
During the meeting, the Head of Government recalled the royal attention paid by HM the King to the issues and affairs of Moroccan citizens abroad, recalling the government's commitment to implement the government program 2021-2026 in the field of improving the situation of Moroccans around the world and the measures it contains aimed at responding to their various needs and aspirations.
The Head of Government called on all concerned parties to increase the pace of the various measures included in the executive program related to the implementation of the High Royal Speech, in order to respond to the aspirations of Moroccans around the world, especially with regard to preserving their rights and interests, simplifying and digitizing procedures and administrative services, valuing Moroccan competencies and talents abroad, and facilitating the access of Moroccans around the world to invest in their motherland.
For his part, Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, noted that in response to the High Royal Speech of August 20, 2022, and in accordance with the outcomes of the ninth meeting of the Ministerial Committee held on August 30, 2022, during which it was decided to create thematic committees to prepare an executive program that includes various measures related to the implementation of the High Royal Instructions on Moroccans of the World, the Technical Committee held its tenth meeting on November 14, 2022, in order to form these committees, namely: Investment promotion, talent mobilization, management and rights, identity promotion, modernization and rehabilitation of the institutional framework.
The Minister also recalled the work of the thematic committees, which were able to hold a series of 16 meetings, thanks to the mobilization and involvement of the various sectors and public and private institutions concerned, in addition to holding a second meeting of the Technical Committee on January 17, 2023, dedicated to presenting and studying the conclusions of the work of these committees.
The meeting was attended by various members of the Ministerial Committee, as well as representatives of a number of public and private sectors and institutions.
