Government Council Meeting of Thursday, September 21, 2023

• At the beginning of this meeting, it was decided to transform draft decree-law number 2.23.845, which grants the status of 'Ward of the Nation' (Makfulu Al Ummah) to children who are victims of the Al Haouz earthquake, into a bill to be submitted to the next Government Council.
• Subsequently, the Government Council examined and approved draft decree-law number 2.23.799, which sets the legal minimum wage for agricultural and non-agricultural activities. This was presented by Mr. Younes Sekkouri Bahsou, Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills.
• Following that, the Government Council discussed and adopted draft decree-law number 2.22.592, amending and supplementing decree-law number 2.10.432 dated 20 Shawwal 1431 (September 29, 2010), regarding the application of provisions of Law number 52.05 concerning the Road Traffic Code as it pertains to driver education. This was presented by Mr. Mohamed Abdeljalil, Minister of Transport and Logistics.
   

The Government Council concluded its work by examining and approving proposals for high-level appointments in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution :

• Within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Residing Abroad, the following appointments were made: 
  •  Mr. Ismaïl Chekkori as the Director of Global Affairs; 
  • Mr. Abdellah Ben Mellouk as the Director of Multilateral Cooperation and International Economic Affairs. 
• Within the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication - Culture Sector, the following appointment was made : 
  • Mr. Salah-eddine Abkari as the Director of Administrative and Financial Affairs.
