Council of Government of Thursday, January 26, 2023
On Thursday 04 Rajab 1444, corresponding to January 26, 2023, the Government held a Council of Government , chaired by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government, devoted to the deliberation and approval of a number of draft legal texts, as well as the revision of an international agreement, and proposals for appointment to high-level positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

- At the beginning of the Council's work, the Council of Government deliberated and approved Draft law No. 83.21 on regional multiservice companies, presented by Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of the Interior.
- Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved the draft decree No. 2.23.26 extending the validity of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory in response to the coronavirus-Covid-19 epidemic, also presented by Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of the Interior.
- The Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.23.1 on the activation of the basic investment support system and the special support regime applied to strategic investment projects, taking into account the comments raised by Mr. Mohcine Jazouli, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of investment, convergence and evaluation of public policies.
- Subsequently, the Council of Government deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.23.47 amending Decree No. 2.22.818 of 22 Rabii al-Awwal 1444 (19 October 2022) on the suspension of the collection of import duties imposed on domestic cows, presented by Ms. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance..
The Council of Government continued its work by examining the Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Commercial Navigation between the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Government of the Republic of Djibouti, signed in Rabat on 14 November 2022, and Draft law No. 64.22 approving the said Agreement, presented by Mr. Mohamed Abdeljalil, Minister of Transport and Logistics, on behalf of Mr. Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates.
The Council of Government concluded its work by deliberating and approving proposals for appointments to positions of responsibility in accordance with article 92 of the Constitution.
- At the level of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the following have been appointed:
- Mr. Abu Bakr Lheimer, Director of Information Simplification and Strategy, Directorate General of Taxes;
- At the level of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the appointment of:
- Mr. Abdelali Kaâwachi, Director of the National School of Commerce and Management of Oujda;
- Mr. Driss Aderiouch, Dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of Oujda;
- Mr. Abou Bakr Bouayad, Director of the National School of Arts and Crafts of Meknes;
- At the level of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests - Agriculture Department, appointing:
- Mr. Abdellah Janati, Director-General, National Food Safety Office.
