Meeting of the Government Council on Thursday 8 June 2023

• At the beginning of the Council's work, The Council of Government   deliberated and approved Bill No. 43.22 on alternative sanctions (new version), presented by Mr. Abdellatif Wahbi, Minister of Justice.
• Subsequently, the Government Council deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.23.441 defining certain provisions of Law No. 80.14 on tourist establishments and other forms of tourist accommodation, presented by Ms. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy.
• The Government Council continued its work by deliberating and approving draft Decree No. 2.23.75 implementing the provisions of Law No. 2.00 on Copyright and Related Rights with regard to the resale right, taking into account the observations raised by Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, culture and communication.
   

The Council of Government   concluded its work by deliberating and approving proposals for appointments to positions of responsibility in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

• At the level of the Ministry of National Territory and Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy– Department of National Territory and Urban Planning:
  • Mr. Tayeb Lachkar has been appointed Regional Inspector of Urbanism, Architecture, and Urban Planning of the Laayoune-Sakia-Al Hamra Region.
• At the level of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare:
  • Mr. Raouf Mouhcine has been appointed Director of the Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat.
• At the level of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, the appointment of: 
  • Mr. Rachid Sammoud has been appointed Director of the Higher School of Technology of Casablanca.
• At the level of the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication - Culture Sector, the appointment of: 
  • Ms. Samira Lemlizi has been appointed Secretary General.
