Head of Government Holds Talks with Belgium's Prime Minister
The Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, held talks on Monday, April 15, 2024, in Rabat, with the Prime Minister of the Government of the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr. Alexander De Croo, who is on a working visit to Morocco as part of the holding of the 3rd session of the Moroccan-Belgian High Joint Partnership Commission.
During these talks, attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, along with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Federal Cultural Institutions, Hadja Lahbib; the two parties welcomed the strength of the bilateral relations and the qualitative development they have experienced in recent years, with the aim of establishing a strategic partnership that meets the aspirations of the two Kingdoms, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, and King Philippe of Belgium.
The two parties also discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between Rabat and Brussels and to give it a new impetus in line with the longstanding friendship between the two nations, capitalizing on the substantial potential that exists.
These talks also served as a reminder of the joint declaration adopted in Rabat in October 2022 and reiterated the importance of holding regular political dialogue and structuring the Moroccan-Belgian partnership in various areas of mutual interest.
