Meeting of the Government Council on Thursday 15 June 2023

On Thursday, 26 Dou Al-Qi'dah 1444 H, corresponding to June 15, 2023, the Government held a Government Council, chaired by Mr. Aziz Akhannouch, Head of Government, to deliberate on a number of draft legal texts and proposals for appointment to high-level positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the beginning of the work of this Council, the Government Council deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.23.463 supplementing Decree No. 2.77.862 of 25 Chaoual 1397 (9 October 1977) implementing the Customs and Indirect Taxes Code of the Customs and Indirect Taxes Administration and approved by the Dahir as Law No. 1.77.399 of 25 Chaoual 1397 (9 October 1977),  presented by Ms. Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance.
  • Subsequently, the Government Council deliberated and approved draft Decree No. 2.23.315 amending Decree No. 2.02.423 of 27 Rabii I 1424 (29 May 2003) authorizing compensation for the quota of courses for the benefit of class leaders in one of the music and dance institutes of the Ministry of Culture,  presented by Mr. Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication.
  • In the context of draft Decree No. 2.23.493 on the activation of the special subsidy scheme to encourage the presence of Moroccan companies at the international level, it was decided to postpone it in order to deepen its content.
     

The Council of Government   concluded its work by deliberating and approving proposals for appointments to positions of responsibility in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • At the level of the Ministry of National Education, Elementary Education, and Sports - National Education Department, the following have been appointed: 
    • Mr. Mohamed Benzerhouni, Director of Human Resources and Staff Training.
  • At the level of the Ministry of National Territory and Urban Planning, Housing, and City Policy– Department of National Territory and Urban Planning:
    • Mr. Amine Idrissi Belkasmi was appointed Director of the Urban Agency of Agadir.
  • At the level of the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy - Tourism Department: 
    • Mr. Adel El Fakir was appointed Director of the National Tourist Office of Morocco.
  • At the level of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests – Agriculture Department:
    • Mr. Ahmed El Bouari was appointed Director of Irrigation and Agricultural Development.
  • At the level of the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation:
    • Mr. Mohamed El Ghali was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences of El Kelâa des Sraghna.
