Meeting of the Government Council on Thursday, February 13, 2025

The Government Council met on Thursday, 14 Chaabane 1446, corresponding to February 13, 2025, under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Mr. Aziz Akhannouch. This meeting was dedicated to following up on a presentation, reviewing several legal texts, acknowledging an international agreement, and studying proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

  • The Government Council then examined and adopted Draft Regulation Law No. 07.25 concerning the execution of the Finance Law for the 2023 budget year, presented by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance, in charge of the budget, Mr. Fouzi Lekjaa.
  • Subsequently, the Government Council examined and adopted Draft Decree No. 2.24.515 regarding the granting of a professional risk allowance for the benefit of nursing and health technician staff assigned to local authorities, presented by the Minister of the Interior, Mr. Abdelouafi Laftit.
     

The Government Council continued its work by reviewing the agreement concluded between the governments of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of San Marino, aimed at encouraging and mutually protecting investments. This agreement was signed in New York on September 27, 2024, along with Draft Law No. 65.24 approving the said agreement. The draft law was presented by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Investment, Convergence, and Evaluation of Public Policies, Mr. Karim Zidane, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita.
This agreement also aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries by encouraging investment in sustainable development, promoting technology transfer, creating jobs, and consolidating relations between the private sectors of both parties.

The Government Council meeting concluded with the examination and adoption of proposals for appointments to senior positions, in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.

    • Mr. Brahim Benmoussa, Secretary General.
  • At the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests:
    • Mr. Adil El Oufir, President of the Foundation for the Promotion of Social Welfare for Ministry Staff.
  • At the Ministry Delegate in charge of Digital Transition and Administration Reform:
    • Mr. Youssef Moussabiq, Director of Public Service.
  • At the Ministry of National Education, Preschool Education, and Sports:
    • Mr. Abdeslam Mili, Director of School Sports Promotion.
